Ingredients for the apple pancakes with cinnamon (12 pancakes for 4 people)

  • 250 grams of flour.
  • 2 apples.
  • 2 eggs.
  • 150 grams of sugar.
  • 1 glass of milk.
  • 1 tablespoon of yeast.
  • Half a tablespoon of cinnamon.
  • Margarine
  • Butter or Honey (To taste).

How is your preparation?

The first thing to do is to wash the apples thoroughly, applying some specialized liquid for fruits and vegetables or simply with water. Once you have done this, take a peeler and immediately begin to remove the skin carefully so as not to waste the pulp.

Subsequently, core them and cut them into small fillets or cubes (whichever is more convenient). It is important to note that this step can NOT be done by a child independently, due to the latent risk of cutting themselves because they do not have enough precision for the grip of any sharp tool.

1.- Having all the apples prepared, grate them into a glass container and leave them there along with the juice. This liquid will serve as essence to flavor the pancakes.

2.- On the other hand, put a frying pan on the fire with a square of butter and let it heat for 5-7 minutes.

Add flour, 1 egg, sugar and a spoonful of yeast in the same bowl you used for the apples and where the apples were previously grated. Mix it all with an immersion blender or in the food processor (use the appliance that is easiest for you), adding the glass of milk halfway through the process and the remaining egg.

You will gradually mix until you obtain a homogeneous consistency, making sure there are no lumps or any other unpleasant elements that could ruin this magnificent children’s recipe.

4.- READY! You now have the mixture ready for your apple pancakes. Now you are going to add a small amount of this mixture in a ladle, and pour it until you get a round shape in the frying pan that you had previously heated.

5.- Once inside the pan, you will turn your apple pancakes every 2 minutes so that they cook properly on each side. Take them out as soon as you see that they are golden brown.

What can apple pancakes be served with?

The apple pancakes can be served with the topping of your choice (honey, chocolate, butter, jam), enjoying them to the fullest with those people who bring so much joy to your life.

It is advisable NOT to ingest them hot or with very cold drinks to avoid colic or other stomach discomforts, which could lead you to any medical emergency unnecessarily.

You see? Children’s recipes are a fantastic mechanism for disciplining your children, teaching them the true value of each of those things they have at home every day.
