Sleeping with stuffed animals is not always synonymous with frivolity and immaturity as they constantly show, based on the fact that these types of dolls must be stored in the closet to “be able to grow and advance towards adult life”. However, we should never judge others for something that we consider politically incorrect or that is not in accordance with our way of life.
And we say so, due to the extreme ignorance around sleeping with stuffed animals. Cuddle up to them after a long day at school is much more beneficial than you can imagine. The security and relaxation that a stuffed animal can give your children can reach truly incredible limits.
There are many young people in their pre-teens and teens who continue to enjoy their favorite stuffed animals. The only negative aspect that we can detect is when the child has an obsessive relationship with the stuffed animal, preferring it and refusing to have contact with their parents, friends or loved ones.
Children enjoy sleeping with stuffed animals to the fullest, so if your child is one of those who gets into bed with 1 or 20 stuffed animals, be happy because through the following article you will confirm that sharing a bed with their favorite teddy bear is the best thing you could do after a long stressful work day.

1.- Helps to release stress:
By sleeping hugged with your stuffed animal, you will be sending direct stimuli to the brain’s neurotransmitters to give you a pleasant sensation of tranquility. In this way, you will feel that all those emotional charges from day to day are dissipating until you relax greatly.
Thanks to its physical contact, its smell, you will manage to drive away that terrible anguish that keeps you anxious and prevents you from falling asleep properly.
2.- Provides comfort:
We almost always move towards the other side of the bed during sleep, instinctively stretching as if to look for something or someone to hug to feel complete. Those who have not experienced this are lying, because it is something very common in human beings.
When you decide to sleep with stuffed animals, you will be giving additional comfort to your sleeping hours. Lying on the soft cotton and terry bristles is supremely comforting, warming you so you don’t get cold at night.
You will feel that you are complemented and you will not have to go around from one place to another, until you find a comfortable space.
3.- They are a fantastic company:
A stuffed animal does not move, much less “goes to the bathroom constantly”. Something quite positive at bedtime, when the least we want is to be with someone anxious who does nothing but bother with their unbearable nocturnal activities.
They are also ideal to share in the naps of the little ones.
4.- They transmit peace:
Whatever animal your child has as a stuffed animal, it will always manage to transmit peace through its tender and innocent appearance, which is a living reflection of that innate essence that is found within us and that we rarely bring out for fear of be hurt.
You will create an intimate environment full of tenderness for your child where he can feel free to be who he really is.
5.- Provides security:
By sleeping with stuffed animals, you will simulate the company of a loved one because in the end it is what these inseparable furry friends end up becoming, a friend for life. When your child hugs him, his inner strength and security will improve after understanding that he will always have someone who is with him on those occasions when he needs to cry or express his joy to the world for having achieved a goal.
Sleeping with stuffed animals should not be questioned in the slightest by currents of backwardness, which are plagued with complexes and ignorance. If a child or adult wants to take their favorite bear to hug it while it rests, it should be considered normal because we are human beings and we will always be looking for that physical contact with external agents.
The fact that we are mature people with a life made, does not mean that we should give up sources of affection to feel full until we fill those emotional gaps that exist in us.
